By the Numbers:
The idea stemmed from international site selection experience, where founder Davie Lee learned how difficult it was for businesses to find data on communities in Canada. Upon recruiting our other co-founder, Ryley Iverson, the team interviewed dozens of economic developers across the country and learned that communities do not have the time, budget or technical skills to manage their public data and properly promote their community for investment. Based on this feedback, the idea for Townfolio was born. After countless iterations, in November 2015, the team launched a software product to aggregate and visualize public data, automating the community profile.
At Townfolio we’re on a mission to build the world’s most robust data platform on local economies to drive better business decisions.
From empowering developing nations to saving small town main street to boosting local economic development, Townfolio has a vision for a world where data creates better better economic futures for people and places.
